ShadeTwin ("we," "our," or "us"), developed by AruAI Labs, provides an AI-powered skin shade analysis and beauty recommendation application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the ShadeTwin mobile application.

By using ShadeTwin, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

Account Information

• Email address and password (encrypted)
• Display name (optional)
• Authentication tokens

Skin Profile Data

• Skin shade analysis results and shade codes
• Undertone classification (warm, cool, neutral)
• Saved shade profiles and beauty preferences
• Product recommendations history
• AI-generated analysis results (tone depth, skin type, contrast, and personalized recommendations) are stored on our servers to provide you with analysis history and personalized recommendations

Camera & Image Data

• Camera images are captured for real-time skin shade analysis
• Images are processed locally and via AI analysis but are NOT stored on our servers
• Image data is used solely for generating shade analysis results and is discarded after processing

Technical & Usage Data

• Device type, operating system, and app version
• App usage patterns and feature interactions
• Crash reports and performance diagnostics
• Anonymous analytics events

We use collected information to:

• Provide AI-powered skin shade analysis and beauty recommendations
• Maintain and improve the accuracy of our shade database
• Personalize your experience based on your skin profile
• Process in-app purchases and manage subscription services
• Diagnose technical issues and improve app performance

ShadeTwin integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

AI Processing

• Anthropic (Claude AI) and OpenAI — process skin images for shade analysis. Images are sent securely and are not retained by AI providers after processing.

Backend & Storage

• Supabase — secure database and authentication services. Account data and shade profiles are stored with encryption.

Analytics & Diagnostics

• Firebase Analytics — collects anonymous usage statistics to help us understand how the app is used
• Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports and diagnostic data to improve app stability

Payments

• Google Play Billing — processes in-app purchases and subscriptions. Payment information (credit card details, billing address) is handled entirely by Google and is never accessed by us. We store a purchase verification token solely to validate your subscription status.

We implement robust security measures to protect your information:

• Encrypted storage for sensitive account credentials
• Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmissions
• Camera images are processed in-memory and never written to permanent storage
• Authentication tokens stored securely on device
• Row-level security policies on backend database

We retain your account data and shade profiles for as long as your account is active. Camera images are not retained — they are processed in real-time and immediately discarded.

If you delete your account, all associated personal data, including shade profiles and preferences, will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

ShadeTwin is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in the application
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your shade profile data
• Opt out of analytics data collection
• Withdraw consent at any time

Your information may be processed in the United Arab Emirates where AruAI Labs is headquartered. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection.
